Song and Music:
O LEAVE your hand where it lies cool Upon the eyes whose lids are hot: Its rosy shade is bountiful Of silence, and assuages thought. O lay your lips against your hand And let me feel your breath through it, While through the sense your song shall fit The soul to understand.
The music lives upon my brain Between your hands within mine eyes; It stirs your lifted throat like pain, An aching pulse of melodies. Lean nearer, let the music pause: The soul may better understand Your music, shadowed in your hand Now while the song withdraws.
-Dante Gabriel Rossetti-

The first poem was beautiful. The second one was great, so funny.
This is a poem I wrote for my husband. He has since passed away.
SMILE
I've seen the mountains towering In skies of azure blue, I've seen the rolling ocean And a garden kissed by dew. But never have I felt the thrill From mountain or from sea, That leaves me half as breathless As when you simply smile at me.
I've watched the eagles soaring Above the mountains high, Their wings outstretched in flight As they roam across the sky. The beauty of them gliding Leaves me breathless as can be, But nothing can compare my Dear As when you simply smile at me. I've seen the sunset fading Felt the warm summer breeze, I've watched the yellow moonlight Dance on leaves beneath the trees. I've known the joy of friendship And the warmth of sympathy Yet I have never been nearest to heaven, As when you simply smile at me.

Thank you.
We just started the site a few days ago. I hope to add some graphics and poems and maybe some games if I ever figure out how.
Life is good. Boring but good. That's why I am up at 2am playing online solitaire, sufing around trying to find something interesting to do.
